Tata Motors is gearing up for the launch of the highly anticipated Sierra EV in India during FY2026, alongside the first model from its Avinya lineup.
Recently, Tata Motors unveiled an ambitious rollout plan for a range of electric vehicles, including the Curvv.ev, Harrier.ev, Sierra.ev, and Avinya variants. Electric versions of the Curvv, Harrier, and Sierra are set to debut in FY25, with the Tata Avinya scheduled for introduction in FY26.
The Sierra EV is anticipated to utilize Tata's Acti.EV architecture, similar to the Punch EV and forthcoming Harrier EV, and is expected to be based on the company's Gen2 EV platform. Retaining some design cues from the original model, the Sierra EV will feature a 5-door layout, paying homage to the iconic Tata Sierra from the 1990s.
Expected to measure around 4.3 meters in length, the Sierra EV will offer two seating configurations, including a bench seat option for the second row and a twin captain seat arrangement.
Regarding features, the Sierra EV will come loaded with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a two-spoke steering wheel illuminated with the Tata logo, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof.
Details regarding the battery pack and electric motor for the Sierra EV are currently undisclosed.
